No matter what we do and how we interact with these P. Cubensis variations my way of doing things is not always best for others. I have had many discussions with other mycologist wondering why some variations didn't looking like mine. My most honest and transparent answer is this; every laboratory style is different, every grain batch and substrate batch is different and every place that these mushrooms are growing is inherently different. The advice I give is to be patient, keep trying, don't worry about failing, save genetics and label everything! Results will vary from tub to tub, bag to bag and person to person. Mushroom growing itself is, to me, a therapy or art form.
I am here to encourage all artist to paint and paint whatever they feel. Let's simply keep painting and trying. Show me something weird, show me something strange. Mutations are our friends! Let's continue to learn and experiment with new teks together and lastly keep expectations low because when we achieve extraordinary results it is so much more gratifying!!
